Homestead Entertainment
An independent film distribution platform representing creators of colour. Searchable catalogue with trailers and genre filtering, a filmmaker submission portal, and hand-off to on-demand streaming.
Homestead Entertainment
The challenge.
Independent filmmakers, and creators of colour in particular, struggle to get distribution at all. The catalogues that reach Netflix, Hulu, Tubi and Roku are hard to get into, and a distributor without a credible public catalogue of its own has nothing to show either side.
Homestead Entertainment
Our approach.
We built the platform’s public face: a searchable film catalogue with trailers, genre filtering and a page per title, a submission portal filmmakers use to pitch projects directly instead of by email, and a hand-off into the on-demand service.
Homestead Entertainment
The outcome.
The catalogue is public and browsable, submissions arrive through the site in a structured form, and every title has its own page that can be linked and shared on its own.
